Aurora, the goddess of the Northern Lights.
Inuit shamanic traditions tell that the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) are stored on Earth in shining stones along the coast. This is the coast of Labrador in Canada, and the legend refers to the discovery of labradorite.
Warriors and healers activate the power stored in labradorite by tapping labradorite with their hands, wood or another stone: the magical light awakens and protects the one who wears the stone.
Labradorite carries the impact of the moment when sun and earth find each other in the dancing northern lights, and thus captures a piece of their combined power:
- very strong energetic protection
