1. Not everything you see and pick up is automatically your responsibility.
In other words, if you are empathetic and sensitive and can sense that someone else is not feeling well, it does not automatically mean that it is your responsibility to make that person feel better. If you pick up on someone being “down,” it is not necessarily up to you to make them “up.”

2. Picking up, seeing or realizing something from someone else is not the same as taking something over and taking it with you.
Allow only those stimuli and energies from other people that can help you or that are constructive and enriching for your life and development.
This is a very important lesson, and herein lies the effect of labradorite as a stimulus filter: only allow in what elevates you, what is good for you. In other words, if someone's only intention is to blow off steam and pollute your day with complaining, labradorite can help you to say "no" to that energetically and also literally, very vocally. If you see or walk past someone who is down, labradorite can help you to filter that. It comes down to acknowledging that you are picking it up, but also learning that picking up and realizing it is not the same as taking it over. Seeing something, for example that someone is down, is one thing. Then carrying it with you inside all day is something completely different.
